晴明神社 Seimei Shrine - series Kyoto final

 

 

There is a five-rayed star in Kyoto.

SEIMEI shrine is a evidence that the Jew had come to Japan of ancient times. 

It is said that the Mr.Seimei had supernatural powers. 

Recently, his popularity is high. 

This time, SEIMEI shrine was the most attractive for me.

 

真面目な京都の街にあっては五芒星がアキバ的ジョークのように見えた。

それは大きな勘違いで京都人にとっては昔からの普通の光景なんだとも思う。

なにか五感に訴えかけるものがこの境内にはあった。

八坂神社 Yasaka shrine - series Kyoto

 

It begins to rain at night. 

 

Yasaka Shrine shone in rain. 
It is beauty in geisha's town. 

 

 

日が落ちて雨。

八坂さんの提灯の美しさに驚く。

 

この辺りが京都のイメージに近い。

金閣寺 The Temple of the Golden Pavilion - series Kyoto

 

 

Kinkaku-ji.

Only foreigner's tourists were looking at this temple. 
Kyoto declines. 

Daytime of winter solstice ends. 

 

冬だからなのか、寂れてゆく古都を見た。

シャッター商店街。朽ちて行く地方都市はどこも同じ景色になってゆく。

出世稲荷神社 Advancement Shrine - series Kyoto

 

since 1663.

It is a small shrine in the roadside.

Moreover, it is shabby.

However, here is a god of the Advancement.

 

出世稲荷神社。

その名に惹かれて行く。

小さな不思議な空間。

上賀茂神社（賀茂別雷神社） KAMIGAMO SHRINE - series Kyoto

The oldest shrine...in Kyoto?

God of anger that appropriates punishment. 

 

I don’t feel the charm in this shrine.

 

神社はからんとしている。

すいているという意味ではなく、神の存在感を感じない。

なぜだろう？

貴船 神社 Kifune shrine - Series Kyoto

 

 

貴船は山なり。

京都駅から1時間車を走らせる。

冷たい空気。

しかし、神の気配はない。

 

Kibune is a mountain. 
One hour drive take me mountain  from Kyoto Station. 
Cold air.

However, there is no sign of the god.
